"Please Mr. Jailer"

Cry-Baby starring Johnny Depp inspired this outfit of the day (from the other day)! I love Cry-Baby, its a teenmusical romantic comedy film from the 90's. Johnny Depp plays a 1950's teen rebel who's bad boy ways sparks desire in Allison, a good girl..

This OOTD really was inspired by my favourite song from the movie called, "Please Mr. Jailer". I wore a black and white stripe bardot top with a plain black skater skirt and my white platform sandals. My bag reminded me of the small 1950 bags with a short strap, I have vintage purses that would have suited better though. I was headed to work that day, so most of what I'm wearing is from River Island (of course). It was super warm outside so jeans were not an option, I bought this skater skirt in H&M (surpriseee) which was perfect for that day. When I think 50's fashion I think of the poodle skirts. Skater skirts resemble the shape of the 1950's poodle skirts, except just shorter! All I was missing was some red lipstick and a pony tail curled at the ends. Oh and don't work the cat eye liquid liner - I was in a rush again..

My recreation of my OOTD:

I would have loved to have one of these to complete the look I was going for! The white block heel strappy shoes are my favourite, they're available from River Island for 40 euro. You can buy them here - clicky
